On a frigid, twenty-five-below-zero day, the first shipment of English flannel sheets arrived at Grant and Pegge Dowse's converted sugarhouse outside of Franconia, New Hampshire. Packing their Flexible Flyer sled to the max, they hauled the sheets to their tiny house, which served as office and shipping room.
