The FloorWorks, began operations as "The House of Carpet" and has been the area's premier floor covering destination for over 39 years. It was originally started by Mr. Irv Neuringer, an elderly gentleman, who retired to Bethlehem after many years in the floor-covering business in New York City. In December of 1996, Jeff and Cheryl Davidson purchased the business They proceeded to renovate the building, and changed its name from "The House of Carpet" to "The FloorWorks". The business grew rapidly and in the summer of 2002, a 3500 sf state of the art warehouse was built and incorporated into the existing structure, thereby doubling the total operating space to 7000sf. Both Jeff and Cheryl came to the business with a wealth of construction, customer service, and design experience. Jeff, a Bethlehem native, was a masonry contractor for 27 years, both in Aspen, Colorado where he lived for many years and locally as well. Cheryl, a New York City native moved to the area in 1978. For 25 years, she owned and operated "The ArtWorks", a custom picture frame shop and art gallery in Littleton. Their combined skills and vision have contributed to the success of the business today, boasting an endless list of local residences & businesses, schools, health facilities, hotels,ski areas, property management and building contractors as their customers.
