LRH has the capabilities to test surgical patients as needed to ensure the safety of our other patients and staff. All surgery patients are required to wear masks during their time in the hospital. One essential caregiver is permitted to accompany a surgical patient at this time. This designated individual is able to review post-operative care instructions and follow up recommendations with our medical staff. Patient Education Plays a Key Role Patient education and a constant flow of updated information are more important than ever to help our patients determine when it makes sense to schedule surgery, some of which may have been postponed due to COVID-19.
