ALL patients entering through the Main Entrance/ Emergency Department and Medical Office Building are screened before entering the facility, including those ALL patients arriving with respiratory symptoms are redirected to a dedicated COVID-19 screening area. ALL staff members are required to wear a mask while in the facility and be screened prior to their shift. A new and isolated five-bed COVID-19 inpatient unit stands ready should a COVID-19 positive patient be admitted. Our Emergency Department now includes a contained four- bed screening area exclusively for patients showing COVID-related symptoms, and two of our Labor and Delivery suites have been prepared as isolation rooms should the need arise.
